Quite bright, but have limited working distance. We use it on our high speed camera for scientific research, and it does provide great constant lighting for the purpose.

I would assume this is great as a backup light source for DSLR video recording too.

You can use it on either AC power with provided power adapter, or you can use just 2 AA batteries when outdoor.

The maximum filter size it supports is 67mm.

This light works just great, this solved my lighting problems and fits my needs. I can now take the head shots that have been dark on half of their faces and gives the full face in the right light.

    This review is from: PLR Studio Series SLR Camera Backpack (Black) For The Nikon D40, D40x, D50, D60, D70, D80, D90, D100, D200, D300, D3, D3S, D700, D3000, D5000, D3100, D3200, D7000, D5100, D4, D800, D800E, D600, D7100, D5200 Digital SLR Cameras (Camera)

I took a gamble buying this backpack at the time there was zero reviews anywhere on it. From the pictures it looked exactly what I was looking for in a camera bag so I bought it as the guinea pig.

For $25 it is totally worth it! I would easily pay $50 for it.(I will have a youtube video on it so look it up) This is aimed for beginners/amateurs not professionals housing Hasselblads or 1D type cameras.

Outside: I really love how it looks like a regular backpack, it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb or give any clues that it’s housing valuable equipment. Which is great to deter thieves.
It has convenient pockets on the outside along with tripod straps. Zippers and handles are good, not cheap feeling at all.

The stitching is great, which is very important on an item like this. I had my mother check it over and she gave it the thumbs up. She has 30 years experience in seam-stressing.

The back straps are padded nicely along with padding on the back of the bag, it’s very comfortable to wear. It comes with chest and belt straps as well, the belt one functions great and alleviates 60% of the weight off your back. I thought they looked kinda lame but after trying it out it’s so useful!

    Interior:

The compartments are easy to modify and are made from great material, I had no troubles with items bouncing around.

Each of the big pockets has a layer of padding, but not rock solid padding that will protect your stuff if you drop it. So be careful if you’re clumsy, I’ve had friends with thinkpros and lowpros get lenses damaged so it’s not just a cheap bag issue.

CONS: The back straps are a bit short, the padded area I mean. I wish it were a big longer. If you’re a small guy or a girl it’ll probably fit you perfectly. I’m 5 10″ and 180lbs and just wish they were about 2″ inches longer

The next might not be a con for everyone it was just for me. I wish it came with more dividers, I found out I needed two more. This is an issue with me because I mainly use small compact lenses, if you have a 70-200 in your kit or if you have two bodies then it wont me an issue for you. It was for me but I managed by throwing in bigger items that I would normally stick on the outside pockets.

Amazon’s Super Saver Shipping, it was terrible! don’t buy using that crap. It took them 2 weeks just to process the order, the shipping from the non-amazon merchant was only $4. I so wish I would have bought it through them instead of “fulfilled by amazon” .

OVERALL: I would defiantly recommend this! For $25 I was expecting much less but the quality is there for a beginner backpack! I see it lasting 5 years no problem.

Here’s what I currently have in the inside cavity to show how much it fits.

    EOS 10D DSLR Body
    Sanyo 14mp point and shoot
    Sony HD flip videocam
    Canon 18-15mm 3.5-5.6 with hood
    Canon 30-80mm 4-5.6 with Hood
    Cosina 50mm 1.7
    Vivitar M42 2X tele converter
BP 511 battery Charger + battery
    Shutter release cable
    1.4 wide angle adapter
    3 stack macro tube set
Nishika Twin light Hot shoe flash
Acme Lite 815 Hot Shoe flash
    Godex compact hot shoe flash
    Pixco compact foldable flash softbox
PLR off camera hot shoe bracket

That’s just the inside cavity, which still has 3 overhead pockets.
On the outside they’re two small pockets on the sides along with a two big ones up front, the second one has two elastic pockets inside. It really has space for a TON of extra filters, flash brackets, memory cards, etc

You could even fit a tablet or netbook laptop in the space left over.

It was hard to tell how large it was from the description, but it turned out to be perfect. It holds my Nikon D50, 4 lenses and all my gear.

Appears to be very well made. The padding is nice and thick and the dividers are easy to change around to allow for various lens and things. It is as nice or better than the ones at the computer store that were $99.
