Please be open to the ideas and techniques you see on this channel? This info is based on real life shooting with real people and real cameras. If it does not match with your preconceptions about what a camera can do and cannot do – good! We’re getting thru! Open minds and forward thinking will get you making better images than scouring camera stats and arguing over which lens is better. : ) WC

Crockett here. The OIS system on the Lumix cameras is terrific. It takes a while to get used to, but when you press halfway down on the shutter, the IOS kicks in and takes a jumpy shot and makes it as smooth as buddah. So, you can really take a 300mm (effective 600mm) and on a sunny day, easily handhold it for a great shot. I have many times in fact. Pro’s already know this and are hoping to share it with the rest of the shooters.

Good tips & video. Just curious what tripod & ballhead you were using in the video? Thank you.

  7. cameraman763 says:

Thanks. I was looking for a tripod collar. Tim

  8. Rob Knight says:

Kevin, the lens collar I mentioned is custom made for the 100-300mm lens. I wouldn’t think it would fit on another lens.

  9. The Cloud Show says:

Very Helpful video. Thanks for that.

  10. Rickey G Osmond says:

Have you tested this lens on an Olympus body with IS on?

  11. Eric Williams says:

Yup I emailed them and they quoted me $74 Euros or $96 US exchanged paypal. On my list thanks for the great find…=-)

  12. Kevin Etter says:

I would like to know if it would fit the Lumix 45-200

  13. Rob Knight says:

Lots of searching! 🙂 I sent them an email (in english) and they sent me a PayPal invoice for the tripod collar. I think it was $94 including shipping to Atlanta, GA. I had the piece within the week

  14. Eric Williams says:

I went to the site you mentioned for the stand clamp couple questions. They are in Germany so I had to translate the page and there is no way to purchase it so how did you get one? Second how much did it cost you? How did you ever find that obscure company and website?

  15. Rob Knight says:

My pleasure! glad you liked it

  16. Jess Demant Aggeboe says:

Thank you for this informative video…..

  17. Rob Knight says:

I haven’t tried it on the OMD, but I’m sure it would be great if you use the tips in the video. Be sure you use either the IS in the lens OR the camera, not both.

  18. Johnathan Evans says:

How does it perform on the omd?
